Main Street Counselling – About My Fees

My services do not attract a rebate from Medicare. Rest assured, I hold a Bachelor of Psychology from the University of Wollongong NSW. I have decades of relevant experience counselling people through trauma and relationship issues.

.Main St Counselling ad hears to a fee for service payment policy, to provide our clients with the foundational progress of each session. We request that payment is made in advance or at the start of each appointment, this allows us the maximum amount of time to utilise each session without the need to hang around for awkward admin processes following our time together.

 

Main St Counselling is a fee for service model, presently Medicare do not offer a service rebate. If you have any questions, concerns or feedback relating to main St fees please notify in email. Main St Counselling can provide suggestions on alternative services that offer a Medicare rebate if applicable to individual needs.

Payment Methods

Preferred method of Payments is before or after session via a HICAPS machine (like an EFTPOS machine). The HICAPS machine is sanitised before and after each use for the safety of all clients and practitioners. For Telehealth, it is preferred for payment to be made directly to practitioner before session and a receipt of payment emailed or texted to practitioner prior to session.

Cancellation

Main Street Counselling fee structure requires 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. A fee of $75 will be charged for non-attendance or less than 24 hours’ notice of cancellation.

Main Street Counselling understands that sometimes you may not be able to keep an appointment due to sudden illness or unexpected personal emergencies. If this occurs, please contact Main Street Counselling via text message, email or contact page as soon as possible, in exceptional circumstances Main St Counselling may choose to waive the cancellation fee.

For the past 20 years Danielle has practiced Psychology and Counselling across a variety of settings, with individuals from all walks of life, ranging from Linguistically and Culturally Diverse backgrounds, the LGBTQIA community, Interfaith Beliefs, as well as Victim Rehabilitation and Perpetrator Criminology.

Engaging in continual professional development Danielle provides the latest and is always evolving best practice in her scope of delivery. Taking time out to develop the underpinning theory ensures every individual client and/or couple receive the most up to date practical application and latest treatment model in the therapy and counselling field.

Having experience in mental health care from both a professional and consumer experience, Danielle is understanding of the individual needs to address trauma and other mental health concerns.
